It was raining this morning, difficult to get out of my tent with this weather. I’m lucky for the moment I didn’t have any heavy rain, hope it’s going to last, but in New-Zealand it’s hopeless. Once my bag packed, I left going up hill on really steep ridge following a fence. There is some days like that where you don’t have any energy and you don’t know why, you ate well, you slept well, you feel great but your body is just lazy. So today was my lazy day, after getting out of this forest I reached finally Waitomo Village where I found a backpacker to rest . I didn’t do a lot of kilometres but I couldn’t. Waitomo is a well known place for caves and glow worms so advised by a really good friend of mine the sweet Emma and her travel companion the weird Burrell I went to see glow worms but not the one with an entry fee, nope, nope,… Emma gave me a trick to see them for free. So armed with my headlight I walked four kilometres out of town and ended in the Ruakuri Cave, once the sun set I could enjoy this beautiful constellation of green stars. Thank to Emma and Burrell.
