This view on the Rakaia Gorge and the mountains behind was gorgeous. As usual we had a big breakfast and headed on the road to hitchhike back to the track. Not a lot people were really ready to pick us up but Anne Harper stopped by and picked us up without asking anything. This lady had hitch hiked when she was young to get to school so she understood us. She took us until the end of Blackford Road which was not on her way. Then we walked on Double Hill Run Road. No vehicles there so we started to walk down the road to Glenrock Stream. At some points Peter and Jeny stopped near by and gave us a lift to the track start. It was really kind from them. We started Te Araroa around noon going to the Turtons Saddle and reaching one hour later the A Frame Hut a beautiful and curious little Hut. Hélène was feeling ready to go further so we headed to the Comyns Hut a really old one. This evening was really cold and I got really cold, I had to use Hélène’s sleeping bag and mine to warm my body up. It got better one hour after but I couldn’t leave my sleeping bag.
