To follow my route follow this link.

I left Te Kuiti Campground early on the morning and took a big breakfast on my way out of the town. The track followed the beautiful Mangaokewa River, where I crossed the way with I think wild goats running away from me so fast with a dexterity making myself jealous.
On my way I struggled with blueberries bushes making the path difficult and slowing down my progress but the scenery was worth it. Once on the Mangaokewa Road I asked a farmer if I could pitch my tent on his cottage. John Davidson, as he said me his name, was pretty happy to have me here, he lives 2 kilometres away and couldn’t go back tomorrow morning to give some water to his horse so he asked me to do that for him. On his way out, he offered me to work for him for some days, I should have said yes, but Te Araroa is in my mind and I must move along.
