To follow my route follow this link.

I left this nice spot between two ponds and knocked at Ralph and Suzie’s door, no one was there so I left. On my way I met Ralph walking back home from his daughter’s, I thanked him and kept walking. A well formed track led me through native bush and pine forest. I crossed several rivers and streams taking the Burtton’s Track then reach the Tokomaru Valley Rd where I pitched my tent. Not really a good spot to pitch my tent but a guy in a red four wheel drive told me it was ok for the night.
