To follow my route follow this link.

It was foggy this morning, I took my breakfast with Grant and headed off. I got wet because the drizzle, I passed Harper’s PAss without seeing anything of the scenery. But I could notice that the vegetation was changing. The forest got denser and really different, I had a sample of the west coast vegetation. I followed the Tamarakau River and arrived to Locke Stream Hut. I was totally wet soaking in my clothes and cold. I had plenty of time and had to catch up with Hélène on the first of April. I decided to stay there and have a good rest. Ben and Dylan came out some hours after me, two kiwis from Christchurch. We had a lot of fun, drinking Honey Wisky to celebrate Dylan’s birthday and playing cards. They taught me how to play Speed Up and Skunk.
