A car coming woke me up, I got out and met Jack a hunter coming for the day. I left this piece of paradise and head to the track. I climbed through beech forest to a saddle. Once on the saddle the forest got really different, ferns and moss covered the ground and the forest got denser. I descended still through beech forest and tussock lands. After six hours walking I arrived near Aparima Hut, it was slightly raining. While descending to the hut a marvellous rainbow appeared and stayed there. Once at the hut, it started to rain heavily. I made the decision to stay under a good roof instead walking to the next one. Some hours later a mountaineering instructor came with his class, it was kind of funny to listen at him evaluating each of student.
