I slept really well, and no dew get my sleeping bag wet which is a luck. This day will be the last one before Auckland. Auckland never seems so far away from me. I can already feel the hit, it’s going to be a really hot day. The main part of my walk is going along beaches full of vacationers. I feel a bit odd, walking on the shore, everyone crossing my way with this inquiring look on their face. But this oddness make me stronger and I keep my head up. The trail goes on coastal walkway on the cliff and on the shore forcing me to take stairs. The ocean is calm and its blue is so clear, I wish I could have time for a swim, but I know this walk is going to take me ages if I start to stop on the first beach for a swim, maybe later. I can admire along the walk Rangitoto Island, this volcano Island remind me some memories when I was staying in Auckland.
After a walk starting to seem endless, I finally arrived in Devonport on the North Head, admiring the Sky Tower. Auckland is there, not far away I can hear its busy streets and the smell of its beautiful latte. The ferry took me from Devonport to the CBD quay, I have now to head to the Fat Cat Backpacker, the place where I stayed for six months preparing my journey. I took a bus, the train are not working for a week, it’s not the fastest way but I enjoy some areas of Auckland that I have never seen before.
When I left the Fat Cat, this place was full of people who I know, full of friends. I thought maybe I would find some of them there, but no one is here anymore. It’s strange, this feeling, the place is the same, and I still feel at home but a lot of memories are coming out.
While I put away my backpack, such a nice surprise came over, Sandy and Leo my friends who I didn’t see for a while. Enjoying this moment is a pleasure and to celebrate we made a barbecue sharing our New Zealand adventures. I think I will stay some days here. Don’t be worried if you don’t have any news. i’m just enjoying this place I love.

On pense bien à toi ici,
    Gros bisous
