After packing my bag, I left heading to Red Hills Hut, I found David, Margaret, Tim and Mike having their breakfast, they shared some food and coffee with me, then I carried on to Saint Arnaud. En route I met Shadow and Country Mouse, two Te Araroa trampers but North-Bounders, we stayed there a good thirty minutes talking about what each other is going to find in his way. It was amazing to meet nice people like them doing the same but in the other way and I could get some tricks for the next sections coming. Going back on a road shoulder wasn’t easy after hiking this gorgeous landscape. After ten long kilometres I arrived to Saint Arnaud, nothing much than a little grocery store. I was thinking about hitch hiking to Blenheim when Margaret came out and told me that James, Mike’s son was heading to Blenheim. Such a luck, James gave me a lift to Blenheim, he is vineyard manager and work for a big Wine maker close to Blenheim. He showed me all of the land on the way and explain me what they were used for. I will stay in Blenheim for one day to resupply, update the blog and eat a lot of burgers because I’m sick of eating nuts and dried food…
